Holistic Therapies

Aromatherapy- A deep relaxing massage using essential oils. The essential oils are extracted from a wide variety of plants and flowers and work to balance the systems and functions of the body. The oils are blended according to the needs of the individual and are used to treat ill health on an emotional, spiritual and physical level. They work to revitalise and energise the body while relaxing away stress and tension caused by everyday life.

Reflexology- A holistic therapy that aims to treat the mind, body and spirit. Using foot massaging techniques it gently stimulates the reflex points on the foot which in turn stimulate the bodies organs and systems, to create harmony and balance throughout the body. It can be used to treat physical problems such as back, neck and shoulder pain, joint and muscular problems as well as a wide range of emotional problems such as stress, anxiety and depression. By locating and stimulating these reflex points on the feet we can restore the imbalance of energy which can be the cause of stress and ill health.

Indian Head Massage- An indian family tradition that has been adapted by the western world to combat the widespread problems of stress. It uses massage and petrissage techniques to combat upper back, neck and shoulder tension, deeply relaxing the muscles in these areas. It also works on the head and facial areas relaxing all the muscles in the head and scalp while gently strengthening the hair and promoting blood circulation and hair growth. It leaves you feeling totally relaxed reducing the feelings of stress, tension and anxiety.

Hopi Ear Candles- This treatment is used for ear, nose and throat problems, particularly useful for people who suffer from regular bouts of sinusitis, rhinitis, menieres and tinnitus. Each ear is treated followed by a neck, scalp and facial massage to drain the sinuses and rebalance the energy flow.

Emotional Freedom Technique- Similar to accupuncture but without the needles. It works by tapping the meridians while dealing with the presenting issues and emotions. Very useful for phobias and fears which can cause stress and tension, such as a fear of flying and heights etc.
